Ok for all of you wanting belly pics here you go. This is my belly at 31 weeks. I am feeling like a huge cow, but apparently if you aren't the prego one everyone else thinks it is cute.
Andrew is moving around all the time in there and keeping me uncomfortable! I rarely get more than 2 hours of sleep because he moves around so much and I always have to get up to pee. He really likes sitting under my ribcage with some unidentified part of his body jabbing out the right side of my belly. James thinks it is hilarious. And now Andrew is moving around enough that he can't hide from James anymore.
I also put James to work in the nursery helping with my vision of how the room should look. Here is the start of it. Hopefully I'll have it finished soon and will have those pics to post but here are the beginning stages.

Mhari's Brave Night
I have quite the reputation at church being that we have been married forever and have no kids...I'm quite the auntie and love to spoil my friends kids and play that role. So a couple of months ago while babysitting for the Scott children (all 5 of them) I had let the girls play in my makeup and told them we would do a girls night where they could come over and have a "late nighter" and play in makeup. That was in March and I figured I probably better make good on my promise since they kept reminding me about it and I'm getting closer to not being able to do as much of that.
So I had 5 girls under the age of 10 over to do makeup and nails on a Friday night. Their parents were in awe of me being brave enough (or I believe Del and Brent thought that I was dumb enough lol) to take them all on at once. They got over here around 6:30 and we had pizza and then started on the nails and makeup. McKinley and Sydnee got a quick start jumping right in. I barely got them to eat their food.
I put out all of my old Mary Kay samples and let them have a free for all putting on the colors they wanted and trying all 25 of them. :-) They were in hog heaven.
After the hair and makeup we made triple chocolate cookies, and then I let them raid my shoes and jewelry and we took pics. Here are some of their fun pics. I am no photographer nor did I have a great spot to take these so pardon the treadmill in the background and the pumpkin lights that the girls used to decorate the treadmill. :-)
This is Kylie - she is the youngest of the bunch that came over but she loved hanging out with the big girls and she is quite the little poser.

Then Rylee is our next youngest. She just had her 7th birthday.

Then Caitlyn. She got baptized this year so she is the big 8.
Sydnee is 9. She wanted to have Mattie (the dog) in all of her pics and all the other girls wanted to do the same. They love the dogs because their parents are not quite as animal friendly as me lol...sorry Leslie and Kristin.

And last but not least we have McKinley who is 10 going on 12. I have been the bad influence for her to get to wear makeup at 12 like I did. Sorry Brent. Ok not really lol.

And here is the group pic of all 5 of them.
We had a good time but boy was I tired when they went home at 10. I don't know how Kristin or Leslie or any of you handle 5. Yikes!! Glad you start with just one.

Nebraska vs Baylor 2009

On Halloween James and I made the quick trip up to Waco for the Nebraska vs Baylor game. It was absolutely picture perfect weather. The kind of weather you hope for when going to a football game and rarely ever happens around Austin. James was super excited because the 2nd string quarterback Cody Green started and he hasn't been a huge fan of the other quarterback Zack Lee.
The team warming up.
The Nebraska fans are definitely a dedicated fan base. We got to the game about an hour early and here is what the Nebraska side looked like.

Here is what the Baylor side looked like until about 10 minutes before the game.
We had a good time and Nebraska won which made it even better. Larry the Cable Guy was at the game too so I got a quick pic of him which wasn't terribly great.
More updates to follow.....

Good Guys and Just catching up
As most of you know the Fleischman family really love old cars. And a lot of the family trips revolve around car shows, car tours, car parts et cetera. So this weekend was Good Guys. It is a huge car show held at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. So James and I decided since it was only a 3 hour drive we would make the trek up there and hang out with Ralph and Marlene (mother in law and father in law) and Pat and Krista (James brother and sister in law). Both of them had driven their cars from Lubbock. I forgot my camera and therefore have very few pics. So Pat and Krista drove her red '69 Mach 1 Mustang and Ralph and Marlene drove the '58 retractable (it has a hard top that retracts into the trunk like a convertible). We had a really good time, although I was not thinking about how much walking would be involved and how incredibly worn out I would be. I'll be catching up from that all week!
Here are a couple of cool pics that I did remember to take at the car show.

This is my dream car below although I want mine blue with white stripes. It will be James' next project car when we have money again!
This is another one of James' fave cars. His list is oh so short. (sense the sarcasm?)

We stayed until about 2:30 when it started raining and chased all of the old car drivers away from the show. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon with his parents and Great Aunt and Uncle watching football. It was a buy week for Nebraska so unfortunately not a terribly exciting weekend but we did catch up on all the rest of the games.
Otherwise I am moving along quickly with the baby. This is week 26 and it seems to be flying by for me. I don't feel like I have anything ready at all. James has started paiting the nursery and just has a bit left before I can come in and do my bit. Hopefully it will all work out as I have planned. I don't have any new pics but will try to get some up shortly.
Nothing else exciting to report but I found this cute pic of my 2 current "fur children" and thought it was super cute so I'm posting that too. Hopefully they enjoy all of their attention while it lasts. :-)

Wicked

Wicked came to town this month and I have never seen it, and didn't know anything about it but I have heard a ton about it. So I kept driving past the sign downtown and called James last month and told him that he was going. :-) Friday night we went to see it with a couple of our friends. Ken and Keri had a bit better seats than us and sat down on the lower level than us, but Kristen had seats next to ours. She and Del were going to come but she had bought an extra ticket thinking her mom would be here and rather than take only one of the girls Del "sacrificed" and just had both of the girls come. Sydnee and Rylee had a great time.
Rylee even had exciting news. She has a lose tooth and came over in the middle of the play just to show James. She cuddled with him through most of the show except when she was sitting on Kristin's lap to see all of the action.
James and I never get pictures of us anywhere so here is one of us at the show. We had a really good time and enjoyed the show a lot. I recommend that you all go see it.

And Baby Fleischman is a.....

A little boy in case you can't see where the tech wrote it. The Lund family will finally have the first boy that didn't have to marry in. James was totally shocked. He was all ready to paint the nursery pink, and he was very glad he hadn't done that yet as he would have a lot of repainting to do. We are really excited for a little boy.
I finally was able to go and by my first outfits for a little boy. I have had such a hard time waiting to be able to buy stuff for the little one. I have contented myself to buy wipes and baby wash and all the stuff that is not gender specific and used constantly.

So the sisters have been hassling me for more pictures of myself. I'm not loving them but here they are anyways.
16 Weeks Picture
20 Weeks Picture
I'm just feeling enormous still but fine other than that. Sleeping is apparently an optional thing so I am getting very tired but I figure that is preparation for when he is actually here. I'll post a few of the other pictures later on but I just can't access them from this computer. Hopefully this will satisfy the sisters for a bit. :-)

12 Weeks and then some
So last week was my 12 week visit to the doc. Did a sonogram and everything looks good. This kid is a mover. All you saw were arms and legs flailing everywhere. It was hard to get a good picture for measurements. But comforting to know there actually is something in there. I keep calling it my little tape worm because I'm always hungry. And my little tape worm loves cheetos. I keep trying to substitute carrot sticks but we have a smart one too who knows carrot sticks suck! I put on 8 pounds last month. YIKES!!!!! I feel like a big, huge, cow and know it will only get worse.
I did get some really good pics of the little one so here they all are. Oh and they tested for downs syndrome and some other birth defect I can't remember and told me the chances are not very likely that my little one has that. Good news.

I also decided that my hair was kind of boring last week so I added a little bit to jazz it up. Kind of fun and funky. My girlfriend who does my hair also added a bit to her daughters hair so church on Sunday was kind of funny with everyone checking out our hair. But I like it. At least for a while.
I'm making this face at James because he is making fun of me for trying to be too hip. He is just old and jealous and can't admit it. :-)
Work this past week was not so much fun. Our suppliers are deciding to change everything up on us and it is going to make my job a whole lot harder and possibly cause me to lose accounts. Not my favorite part of the week. Hopefully we can get it all squared away this week and things will be ok.
4th of July was spent at home this year. And it was nice to just have a weekend with nothing to do. We enjoyed both being off Friday. James in his way - the garage and sweating his butt off, but his car is getting closer to done. Me in my way - air conditioning and doing as little to make the 108 degree weather any worse. Mostly we just caught up on all the things not done during the week. And on Saturday we had a bbq with the Claridge family and the Hubers. Del braved the heat on the patio by the grill to make burgers and hot dogs for the rest of us - we were really grateful for that. And then I made homemade ice cream which is always a hit. I think it is the only reason the Claridge family invites me anymore. The kids request it everytime I walk in the door. And we watched fireworks in the miserable 95 degree heat and humidity. Happy Birthday America!!!
On a more serious note - we are very grateful that we have the wonderful country that we are able to live in and worship how we please, work where we please, have the rights that we have, have safety and security much more than other countries. We are so blessed and we take it for granted. We need to remember the reason that we have all of the freedoms and blessings that we do is because people were willing to sacrifice everything that they had to ensure those liberties. And as soon as we forget that, they will be taken away. I still get a tear in my eye every time I hear the Star Spangled Banner played because it represents everything that this great country is about. I am so grateful to the men and women in uniform who fight to keep our country free, and are willing to be away from their families and friends to ensure I'm able to speak as I wish. God Bless America!!
My girls at church are getting ready for camp this week and it just brings back the memories of when I used to go to camp. Now I try and avoid anything more remote and desolate than a Budget Inn. Not sure exactly when I decided that roughing it really wasn't for me so much but I also look at the camp these girls go to now and think they have no idea. When I first went to camp, we had an outhouse, outdoor showers (Which were really cold by the way in the middle of the New Mexico mountains), cooking over dutch ovens and camp fires - and the cooking was done by the girls, and we all slept in tents.
These girls get cabins, electricity, camp cooks, swimming pools - granted it isn't as cold here as it was in New Mexico but still....things sure have changed with camp since I was there. Oh and their hikes don't get them lost in the mountains with Bob Carr and Terry Glover. And rainstorms. Memories....little more bittersweet than sweet it appears. :-)
I'm off to clean the house. It looks like a tornado has come through here and is in need of some serious work. One of these days I'm going to take those Young Women up on their offer to clean my house!
